site.btaDecember 2023 Construction Increases by 1.3% in EU, M/M, Decreases by 0.5% in Bulgaria

The output of the Construction sector increased by 1.3% in December 2023 compared to November in the European Union, and in the Eurozone it increased by 0.8%, indicated preliminary seasonally adjusted data by the European statistical office Eurostat, published on Tuesday on its website.

In Bulgaria, in December 2023, a decrease in the volume of construction was recorded by -0.5% compared to November 2023, when the decrease was -1.3% compared to October. 

On an annual basis, the construction sector in Bulgaria in the last month of 2023 went down by -3.5% compared to December 2022, and in November 2023 it went decreased by -3.1 percent.

Throughout 2023, construction in the EU increased by 0.1% on average compared to 2022 and by 0.2% in the Eurozone.

In November 2023, constriction decreased by -0.5% in the European Union, and by -0.4% in the Eurozone.
