site.btaAgriculture Minister, Mongolian Ambassador Discuss Cooperation in Agriculture

Minister of Agriculture and Food Kiril Vatev and Mongolian Ambassador here Sayanaa Lkhagvasuren discussed opportunities for development of cooperation in the field of agriculture at a meeting at the Ministry of Agriculture.

One of the topics of the talks was the long-standing partnership between the two countries in terms of education and the continued interest of Mongolian students in undergraduate and graduate programmes in Bulgaria, including those related to agribusiness and the food industry. Minister Vatev said that Mongolia can rely on Bulgarian experience for upgrading the system of veterinary and sanitary control and animal welfare, as well as for other joint projects.

Other topics discussed included possibilities for partnership in research and development, the export of Bulgarian technologies for the dairy industry, the sharing of know-how in the field of veterinary requirements related to animal husbandry and meat processing.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Alexander Yotsev also participated in the meeting.
