Fortune 500 solutions integrator Insight Enterprises acquired UK-based software development and digital services company Amdaris, which has delivery centres in several Eastern European cities, including Sofia, and has plans for growth in Plovdiv and Varna, Amdaris said.

Insight Enterprises stands at No. 379 at the Fortune 500 list, which ranks the largest corporations in the United States by revenue.

"Against the backdrop of rapid growth in the IT industry, Insight's acquisition of Amdaris indicates their unwavering confidence in the exceptional skills and talent in software development that Eastern Europe has to offer," said Amdaris Co-Chief Executive Officer Vlad Nanu. He also pointed out that the new investments will generate significant impact and development in the region. 

Amdaris was founded in Bristol in 2009 and has gradually opened offices in Moldova, Romania, Dubai, Ukraine and Bulgaria as a result of its sustainable development and growth. In 2022 it  increased its workforce by 94%: from 451 to 819 people. The office in Sofia was opened the same year.
