Prof. Christo Pimpirev, President of the Bulgarian Antarctic Institute and leader of the 33rd Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition, has met with Prof. Diana Morant, Minister for Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain. The meeting took place in Punta Arenas, Chile, on Saturday, Pimpirev told BTA.
Sofia University Rector Georgi Valchev, Spanish Polar Programme Manager Antonio Quesada and Spanish National Research Council President Eloisa del Pino also took part in the talks.
The high-level meeting discussed Bulgaria's further cooperation with Spain in Antarctica. Minister Morant is expected to visit the Bulgarian Antarctic Base on Livingston Island.
