site.btaPhoto Exhibition Presents Canada through the Eyes of Bulgarian-born Canadians

A photo exhibition presenting Canada through the eyes of Bulgarian-born Canadians will be unveiled on August 6 at the art gallery of the Boris Christoff Museum in Sofia. The exhibition titled "Canada: Far and Near" will be on display until August 14, the organizers said.

The event is organized by the Canadian-Bulgarian Culture and Heritage Foundation together with the ELARTE Foundation. The formal opening will be attended by some of the photographers and representatives of the two foundations and will feature a concert by the jazz duo Polly and Chris, the organizers added.

"This is the first time the public in Sofia will be presented with photographs of Canada capturing moments from the hectic urban life, the beauty of pristine Canadian nature, and unique traditions as seen through the eyes of Canadians born in Bulgaria. The photographs do not simply document the existence of a place, object, or person, but capture a feeling, cultural encounters, spiritual worlds, traditions, and symbols," the organizers noted.
