Yildiz Ibrahimova is a special guest of the concert "Balkanika", which will take place on June 12 in Bulgaria Hall. The event is part of the 55th edition of Sofia Music Weeks, the team of the international festival said.
In their words, it will be a journey through the rhythms of Bulgarian, Serbian, Turkish, and Romanian folklore.
The programme will feature Zdravko Rusev's Bulgarian Kopanitsa arranged for symphony orchestra, Grigoras Dinicu and Pancho Vladigerov's Horo Staccato, George Enescu's Romanian Rhapsody No 1 and other popular songs from Balkan folklore arranged in symphonic style.
Favourite melodies from the Balkan countries will be performed by Ibrahimova with the orchestra and choir of the Konstantin Kisimov Music and Drama Theatre - Veliko Tarnovo.
