site.btaConcert to Raise Funds in Aid of Children of Medics and Teachers Who Have Died of COVID-19

Bulgarian artists come together to raise money for the Children of Heroes Fund. On December 21, Stefan Valdobrev, Orlin Pavlov, Ersin Mustafov from Jeremy?, Alexander Slavchev, Magi Aleksieva-Mey, Mladen Dimitrov-Mr. Moon will perform in Sofia, the organizers said.

All artists are performing for charity and the hosts, One more park bar, are providing the club free of charge, with the full value of tickets going to the fund.

For three years, the fund has supported 25 children of medics and teachers who died of COVID-19 in the first waves of the pandemic. The children receive grants of BGN 500 a month, or BGN 6,000 a year. The aim is to financially support their education and development until they come of age. Over the lifetime of the campaign, 816 scholarships have been paid out, totalling BGN 408,000, entirely from donations.

Just over BGN 50,000 have been raised so far for 2024. The Fund says that the amount is insufficient to ensure the initiative's existence.
