President Rumen Radev told journalists Sunday that his relations with the new Government depend on how it defends the national interest and how it works so that Bulgarians have much better living conditions and the country can be developed. Radev attended the FIS Snowboard World Cup competitions in Bansko.

"We will find out very soon whether the new majority and opposition will truly address the pressing problems of society or whether they will preoccupy us with themselves and their intimate relationships. If they choose the latter, very quickly the patience of the Bulgarians may run out", said the head of State.

Asked whether the country is getting closer to overcoming the political and institutional crisis, Radev said: "We all hope for that. Let's see how the new Government will work and what relationship it will have with the Parliament. And, of course, the atmosphere in the Parliament itself."

Asked what his opinion was on the appointment of Ivaylo Ivanov as head of the political cabinet of the new Interior Minister Daniel Mitov, the хead of State replied: "I do not want to spoil the incredible emotions that our skiers and the organizers of this wonderful event gave us with political assessments. Very soon they are inevitable".

Radev also announced that he promulgated amendments to the Judiciary Act. "I have already signed it, so it will be promulgated," Radev specified.

Asked whether he was aware of a report related to the Higher Air Force School  in Dolna Mitropolia, Radev said he had no such information. "If there is such a report on an inspection carried out by the Ministry of Defence, I will request it," he assured.

The head of State expressed his gratitude to the Bansko Municipality and the Bulgarian Ski Federation for their work in organizing the competition, which he attended in the resort. Radev pointed out that Bansko and Bulgaria set a standard in the world skiing, which, in his words, is an incredible calling card of the country. According to him, tourism is not only an income for the State budget, but also a gateway to investments.
