site.btaUPDATED Over BGN 55 Mln Allocated for Modernisation of Scientific Research Facilities

Twenty-five scientific research facilities will be completed and upgraded with BGN 55,727,365, the Government decided here on Thursday. The funds will also enable the purchase of specialised equipment to carry out high-quality research at global standards.

The sites to be funded are part of the National Science Infrastructure Roadmap (2021-2027).  Since 2018, the scientific facilities have received nearly 126 million BGN.

BGN 1 134 860 will be paid as membership fee for Bulgaria's participation in 12 European Research Infrastructures and in the European Joint Undertaking ITER for the Development of Fusion Energy. Participation in these is linked to the establishment and upgrading of regional centres and inclusion in the various experiments and scientific programmes.
