A street-art mural inspired by women’s struggle for a life of dignity, equality and the elimination of violence in all its shapes and forms will be presented in Sofia on November 25. It was created by graffiti artist Tochka and will be unveiled in the Goethe Institut’s courtyard, the initiators of the idea from the Feminist Mobilisations collective reported on Thursday.

The mural is called Hair and bears the message "Not One More". "Over the past three years, #NotOneMore has turned into a lot more than a slogan and has managed to unite thousands of people in Bulgaria and abroad, sparking a wave of solidarity and support for victims of violence never seen before in our society," the organizers said.

The idea for the mural is part of a Feminist Mobilisations’ campaign to raise public awareness on the issue of domestic and gender violence on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, November 25. "The initiative also aims to put at the forefront female street artists who often face serious barriers when it comes to equal pay, visibility and representation," the organizers added.
