site.btaLviv National Opera and Ballet to Perform in Sofia in May 2024

Dancers from the Lviv National Opera and Ballet will perform at Sofia's National Palace of Culture (NDK) on May 15, 2024, the organizers from Fest Team said. This will be their only performance in Western Europe within their 2024 tour. The event will be held under the auspices of the Ukrainian Embassy in Bulgaria.

Even in the hard conditions of the ongoing war in Ukraine, the Lviv National Opera and Ballet continues its active work, the organizers said. It has accommodated in its group the soloists of the National Opera from Kyiv. Together, they give hundreds of performances a year. In 2024, they will visit Vienna, Zurich, Amsterdam, Brussels, Oslo, Copenhagen, and Stockholm.

In Sofia, the Lviv National Opera and Ballet will perform world ballet masterpieces, such as Adolphe Adam's Giselle and Ludwig Minkus' Don Quixote, as well as original Ukrainian works, such as Artem Shoshin's  Closer than Love.
