site.btaChristmas Fest to Be Unveiled in Sofia on November 17

The second edition of Sofia Christmas Fest starts on November 17 in front of the National Palace of Culture (NDK) and will last until December 17, the organizers BSG Media reported. They said the event will transform the space in front of NDK into a fairy-tale Christmas village.

Visitors of the official opening will enjoy fire performances, live music and a pre-Christmas quiz with prizes.

One of the most impressive attractions at the Fest will be a Dutch merry-go-round that has been a guest at Europe's most popular Christmas markets and has undergone four restorations since it was built in 1840.

Two charity events are planned as part of the event. Association Children with Oncohematologic Diseases will sell handmade souvenirs and accessories for charity between November 17 and 19. From November 20 till the end of the Festival, visitors can take part in a Secret Santa initiative organized by Rotary Bulgaria that will have gifts and treats brought by the visitors passed on to disadvantaged children.
