A performance of The Flying Dutchman opera will mark the end of the Sofia Opera Wagner Festival on July 30, the organizer said on Thursday. This year the festival was devoted to the 210th anniversary of the birth of renowned German composer Richard Wagner.

The closing ceremony of the Forum will be held at the Pancharevo Lake. Plamen Kartaloff will be the director, Rosen Gergov - the conductor.

Seven works by Wagner, part of the repertoire of the Sofia Opera, were included in the programme of the Festival in 2023. The singers were predominantly Bulgarian.
