site.btaPernik to Host Jazz Festival with Musicians from Around the World

An international jazz festival with musician from around the globe will be held in Pernik on August 11 and 12, the local administration said on Wednesday. Entry in the venue - Krakra Fortress - will be free of charge.

Among the performers are Grammy-nominee Thana Alexa, Australian band Brekky Boy, Dutch star Ida Nilsen, who will play with US band Funkbots, Euro Cubans together with Juan de Marcos Gonzalez, Juan Munguia and Carlos D'l Puerto, Polish band Tantfreaky, and the international jazz formation Alma Micic Quarter with members from Serbia, Bulgaria, and the US.

The first international jazz festival in Pernik is organized by Pernik Municipality jointly with the Culture Pernik Foundation, the Novi Horizonti 2009 community centre, and Serbia's Nisville Foundation. BTA is media partner of the event.
