Tourism conditions are good in the lower altitudes of the mountains, Ivaylo Levterov, duty officer at the Mountain Rescue Service of the Bulgarian Red Cross, told BTA here Saturday.
In the higher mountain areas, fog makes conditions unsuitable for tourism. Broken cloud and patches of dense fog are observed in the higher parts of the Balkan Range, Rila and Pirin. Temperatures range between 5.7C and 13C, Levterov said.
He reported that on Friday evening, around 6:00 PM, a group of English-speaking tourists got lost in the area of Boyana Lake on Vitosha. They were guided by coordinates and are safe.
