MRF-New Beginning Floor Leader Delyan Peevski and his parliamentary have put forward a motion to the National Assembly to give Commission for Consumer Protection Chair Maria Filipova and Commission for Protection of Competition Chair Julia Nenkova a hearing about the actions taken by the regulators to control the unjustified increase in the prices of staple foods and essential goods, the party said in a press release on Tuesday.

"The measures that the state must take require that the institutions act in a coordinated, informed and rapid manner in order to be able to address one of the primary issues that concern people, their families' livelihood and their purchasing power," the statement said.
