MP Dimitar Avramov of MRF-New Beginning has waived his immunity, said Deputy National Assembly Chair Nikoleta Kuzmanova at the start of Thursday’s parliamentary sitting.

On February 18, acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov asked Parliament to strip of immunity two MPs - Dimitar Avramov of MRF - New Beginning and Daniel Alexandrov of GERB.

There is a criminal case for influence peddling against Avramov, which was suspended by a January 27 ruling of the Sofia Court of Appeals due to his election as an MP to the 51st National Assembly.
