site.btaCabinet Postpones Deadline for Submitting State Budget Bill to Parliament to February 21

The government has postponed the deadline for submitting the state budget to Parliament from February 14 to February 21. The decision was taken at Wednesday's cabinet meeting.

The postponement will apply also the budget bills of the public social insurance and the National Health Insurance Fund.

The report on the postponement of the budget submission deadline was made orally by Finance Minister Temenuzhka Petkova.

At a cabinet meeting on January 23, the government withdrew y the bills on the state budget, the budgets of the Public Social Insurance Fund, and the National Health Insurance Fund, as well as the tax bills submitted by the caretaker cabinet.

On January 28, during a meeting of the Joint Governance Council, Minister Petkova said that a new bill on the 2025 state budget, as well as the bills on the budgets of the National Health Insurance Fund and the Public Social Insurance will be submitted to the Council of Ministers by February 14.
