site.btaAll Appointments of Deputy Ministers Are Coordinated with Coalition Partners, Boyko Borissov Says
This is the Prime Minister's job, he appoints them, GERB leader Boyko Borissov said Thursday in Parliament regarding the first appointments since of six deputy ministers. In his words, all appointments were coordinated with the coalition partners.
Six deputy ministers were appointed on Wednesday by order of Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov.
"This is what the Prime Minister has decided, I am in favour of having a government, from now on I say - whoever puts the signature should be responsible," Borissov replied to a question why, according to him, Rosen Zhelyazkov has initiated appointments, despite Borissov's call for the process to start after the adoption of the 2025 budget.
"I do not see with which formations we could achieve a majority to fill regulators in cases where a larger than ordinary majority is required", the GERB leader said, commenting on where votes would come from to fill bodies and regulators that require a constitutional majority.
