MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski is the king of the hill, the real National Assembly chairperson, although BSP-United Left nominee Nataliya Kiselova was elected to the post, MECh floor leader Kiril Veselinski told journalists in the corridors of the National Assembly on Friday.

Veselinski commented that Kiselova was undoubtedly Peevski’s pick. On Thursday, Peevski and his parliamentary group indicated that she should become Assembly leader, and she was eventually elected, Veselinski said.

Peevski would not have won if Silvi Kirilov (There Is Such a People) prevailed over Kiselova in Friday’s run-off vote, Veselinski said.

He was adamant that MECh will not take part in negotiations for a government majority with Peevski or GERB leader Boyko Borissov. “It is either that everyone stands against Borissov and Peevski or we hold new elections,” Veselinski said.
