The Ministry of Labour and Social Policy will continue providing support to Ukrainian refugees and offer assistance and a safe environment for Ukrainian children and families with children in this difficult period for them, Minister Ivaylo Ivanov told Ukrainian Ambassador to Bulgaria Olesya Ilashchuk here on Monday. Ukrainian nationals who have been given asylum, a refugee status, a humanitarian status or a temporary protected status can receive social protection and social services in this country, he added, as quoted by his Ministry.

Ivanov and Ilashchuk discussed options for deepening the bilateral cooperation in social policy. They talked about the elaboration of a working plan for information and experience exchange between their countries with a focus on electronification of social assistance systems. It was noted that the National Social Security Institute of Bulgaria and Ukraine's Ministry of Social Policy need to exchange information electronically so that all citizens can exercise their social insurance rights.
