Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) top-of-the-list candidate in Blagoevgrad Andrey Tsekov Saturday said, as quoted by the coalition's local chapter: "Freedom is a way of thinking and a daily battle. Many hardly appreciate the titanic battles of our ancestors to win it." According to Tsekov, it is encouraging that there are not few Bulgarians who know the work of our heroes and carry in their hearts the spirit of rebellion. Tsekov participated in the celebrations in Blagoevgrad marking the 112th anniversary of the liberation of Gorna Dzhumaya and Pirin Macedonia from Ottoman rule. He congratulated the residents of Blagoevgrad and Bansko.

Tsekov pointed out that revolutions happen thanks to a few vigilant and implacable supporters, who in deeds tear the shackles of tyranny and defend the future of their children and their compatriots. "I bow to the brave men who dared to stand up against an empire. On World Teachers' Day, thanks also to the teachers whose work of enlightenment is the foundation of the free spirit," he said. 

Tsekov, together with fellow MP candidates Vanya Cromboa, David Davidkov and Atanaska Kovacheva laid flowers at the memorial plaque of Gen. Spas Georgiev, the Delchev Rod memorial, to Major Ivan Pavlovich Orlinski and at the bust-monument of Konstantin Chorbadzhigoshev.
