site.btaLaw Enforcers Find Coins, Adornments and Other Cultural Valuables in Burgas Region as Part of Operation Pandora

Coins, adornments, and other items of cultural value were found during a specialized police operation in Burgas Region on Wednesday. It was held within the international Operation Pandora, coordinated by Interpol, the Interior Ministry reported Thursday.

The actions of the counter-mafia officers of the General Directorate for Combating Organized Crime were assisted by officers from the regional police department in Aytos under the supervision of the Burgas District Prosecution Office.

During the investigation, the law enforcers checked two addresses in Burgas Region. At one of them, in Aytos, they found and seized cultural valuables: 312 coins, 170 adornments, 3 icons, a painting, 5 sabers, and 2 muskets. One person was detained for 24 hours.

Pre-trial proceedings have been launched.
