There Is Such a People (TISP) is trying to convince the other parties of the need to form a government with the third mandate with broad parliamentary support, TISP leader Slavi Trifonov said in a Facebook post. Trifonov was adamant that only this can solve the country's problems and provide a way out of the political crisis.
Trifonov denied rumors that he was involved in a conspiracy to overthrow the National Assembly Chair, or to to form a caretaker government.
TISP representatives will meet with GERB-UDF to discuss support for the third government-forming mandate at 11 am on Saturday. The invitation to the meeting was addressed to the leader of the GERB Boyko Borissov, head of the GERB-UDF parliamentary group.
The invitation states that "there is hardly a member of the 50th National Assembly who does not realize that the country needs a stable government that can start solving the most urgent problems. This cannot be done without broad parliamentary support and a clear management agenda*.
The meeting with the largest parliamentary group GERB-UDF is the last in a series of talks on support for a government with the third exploratory mandate, which began on Tuesday, a day after President Rumen Radev handed the third mandate to the TISP parliamentary group.
