site.bta7th GORANA International Dance Festival Held in NYC

The seventh international dance festival organized by the Bulgarian folk dance collective GORANA DANCE, directed by Elissaveta Iordanova, took place in front of a full house at the Riverside Theatre in Manhattan, the Consulate General of Bulgaria in New York wrote on its Facebook page. 

The event’s programme also featured the artistic performance "Milking The Moon - Becoming The Renewal".

GORANA in partnership with the Algara Folk Dance Group, directed by Galina Saharova, presented choreographic interpretations of spring rituals and dances.

At the beginning of the performance, the Bulgarian Consul General in New York Angel Angelov welcomed the guests and pointed out that culture is diplomacy and the Bulgarian folklore performers are cultural ambassadors of Bulgaria in the USA, for which they receive a number of recognitions, including from the consular corps in New York.
