Vazrazhdane leader Kostadin Kostadinov Sunday told sympathizers in Teteven he expects the party to become at least the second largest parliamentary force after the June 9 snap elections. These are the real sociological data, not the data which are being published, he claimed.

"On June 9, Bulgarians will assess best the performance of Vazrazhdane and of the other parties," said Kostadinov. "Vazrazhdane has the only national Bulgarian list defending the Bulgarian national interests. We have seen this in three successive parliaments. Vazrazhdane is the only option for Bulgaria's governance."

Kostadinov urged people to vote for Vazrazhdane because "the choice is very simple - war or peace". "Either we revive Bulgaria, or it will be destroyed by the puppeteers who have turned it into the fastest disappearing, most depopulated and poorest country in Europe in the last 35 years," he said.

The meeting was attended by candidates running on the Lovech constituency list. Ivelin Parvanov, who tops the list, is a "multifaceted personality", according to Kostadinov. Parvanov is a former serviceman, who participated in one of the first military missions in Cambodia. In Kostadinov's words, he is the best contemporary Bulgarian military novelist and one of the top experts in geopolitics in Bulgaria. He has been an MP of Vazrazhdane in two successive parliaments.
