Government Approves Position for 24th Session of Bulgaria-Vietnam Trade Commission

The Government approved the position and the composition of the Bulgarian delegation for the 24th session of the Bulgarian-Vietnamese Intergovernmental Joint Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific and Technological Cooperation. The session will be held on May 13-14, 2024, in Plovdiv. 

The Bulgarian delegation will be led by Economy Minister Petko Nikolov.

The Vietnamese delegation will be led by Vietnamese Minister of Industry and Trade  Nguyen Hong Dien.

During the session, topical issues will be discussed and an analysis of bilateral cooperation between the countries will be made. Opportunities for expanding Vietnam-Bulgaria economic relations will be discussed in a number of areas such as trade, investment, defence industry, agriculture, transport and communications, energy, tourism, science and education, e-government, sports, etc.

The two sides will review the existing legal framework between Bulgaria and Vietnam and discuss the necessary measures for its improvement.

Within the framework of the working visit, an accompanying Bulgarian-Vietnamese business forum is also planned.
