site.btaBulgarian, Turkish Chief Prosecutors Discuss Criminal Law Cooperation
Acting Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov held a working meeting with Turkish State Prosecutor at the Court of Cassation Bekir Sahin in Sofia on Wednesday. The two discussed criminal law cooperation between the prosecution services of the two countries, as well as issues of bilateral interest.
The meeting was also attended by Turkish Sahin's deputy, Bahtin Azizauglu, Turkish Ambassador Aylin Sekizkok, Deputy Prosecutors General Maria Pavlova and Elena Karakasheva, Sofia City Prosecutor Iliana Kirilova, and Tsvetomir Yosifov, head of International Relations at the Supreme Prosecutor's Office.
The meeting highlighted the contribution of the two countries to curbing illegal migration and the risks of terrorist threats in the region, as well as challenges for law enforcement agencies.
Prosecutor General Borislav Sarafov, Turkish State Prosecutor Bekir Shahin, his deputy Bahattin Azizagaoglu and Ambassador Sekizkok also held talks with Supreme Court of Cassation President Galina Zaharova.
