site.btaUPDATED Sofia Municipal Council Holds Extraordinary Meeting

At the initiative of the Sofia Municipal Council (SOC) Chair Tsvetomir Petrov an extraordinary meeting of the council was held on Tuesday. The municipal councillors approved all three items on the agenda. 

The first item on the agenda was a report submitted by Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev on the participation of district administrations in projects under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan procedure "Support for Sustainable Energy Renovation of Residential Building Stock - Stage II". At the council's last regular meeting, held on February 22, councillors had decided to drop the item. The report was adopted with 50 votes in favour on Tuesday.

At the meeting, with 54 votes in favour and one abstention, councillors also adopted a report from deputy mayors Nadezhda Bobcheva and Nikola Barbutov on Sofia Municipality's application for funding under the Environment Programme to invest in the technical improvement of the Zoo system. 

The third report on the agenda for discussion was again by the Deputy Mayor for European Policies, International Affairs and Tourism, Nikola Barbutov, on the possibility for Sofia Municipality to apply for grant funding under the Technical Assistance Programme. The report was adopted with 58 councillors voting in favour.
