site.btaIvaylo Yandzhiev Appointed Deputy Minister of Finance

By order of Prime Minister Nikolay Denkov, Ivaylo Yandzhiev has been appointed Deputy Finance Minister for European and international affairs, the Government Information Service reported Wednesday. He was on this post in 2022 when the previous regular government was in power.

Yandzhiev has a PhD in economics and public policies and a Master's degree in diplomacy and international relations from Oxford University. He has publications in academic and public media. From 2019 to 2020, he was on the strategy and communications team of Michel Barnier, who represented the EU in the Brexit negotiations. From 2018 to 2023, Yandzhiev was part of various working groups with the Secretariat-General of the European Commission.
