site.btaScientific Session to Mark 120th Anniversary of Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising

A solemn scientific session will mark the 120th anniversary of the outbreak of the Ilinden-Preobrazhenie Uprising – a mass revolt of the Macedonian and Thracian Bulgarians against the Ottoman rule, organized by the Internal Macedonian-Adrianople Organization in 1903. The event will be held on July 19 at the St Kliment Ohridski University of Sofia. Organizers of the event are the Faculty of History of Sofia University, the Institute for Historical Research at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences (BAS) and the Macedonian Scientific Institute, in partnership with the Bulgarian News Agency (BTA).
