For the fourth consecutive year, Sofia will host the EU Meets the Balkans Forum, MEP Ilhan Kyuchyuk’s (MRF/Renew Europe) press office reported on Monday. The event will take place on Thursday, starting at 9:30 a.m. at Sofia Tech Park. The forum is organized by The European Liberal Forum, the ALDE Party, and the Atlantic Club of Bulgaria.
The event is a well-established platform for strategic dialogue between EU and Balkan leaders, including foreign ministers, policymakers, representatives of leading think tanks, entrepreneurs, media, and youth organizations. Its main goal is to outline a shared path toward enhanced regional cooperation and faster European integration.
The forum aims to promote open and equal dialogue between the European Union and its Balkan partners, based on shared values, transparency, and a strong commitment to a common European future.
The forum will be opened by Kyuchyuk, Sofia Mayor Vassil Terziev, The Atlantic Club of Bulgaria President Solomon Passy, European Liberal Forum President, MEP Jan-Christoph Oetjen. Bulgaria’s Vice President Iliana Iotova and European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos will also address the forum.
The event is open to journalists. On-site registration starts at 9:30 a.m. and is also available online.
