Turkiye’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said on Thursday that Turkiye will continue working with Pakistan to support the people of Gaza, Turkish media reported.
“We must strengthen this determined stance, especially at a time when unlawful and morally unacceptable proposals, such as tearing our Gazan brothers from their homeland, are being put forward,” Erdogan said at a joint press-conference with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif.
His remarks were in response to a proposal by former U.S. President Donald Trump regarding Gaza, which includes the displacement of Palestinians.
Erdogan added his approval for Pakistan's firm stance on the Palestinian issue. He also accused Israel of violating the ceasefire agreement in Gaza.
During Erdogan’s visit to Islamabad, Turkiye and Pakistan signed 24 cooperation agreements aimed at strengthening bilateral ties. The agreements cover a range of sectors, including defence, energy, trade, agriculture, and technology.
