An international energy forum will take place in Istanbul on Friday, which is organized under the auspices of the Turkish Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources and has Bulgarian participation.

The forum, entitled Common Future, Common Goals, is expected to be attended by energy ministers, scientists, media professionals and business leaders from around the world, as well as representatives of Turkish and international NGOs.

The aim of the forum is to offer a platform for dialogue and exchange on regional energy issues, financing strategies for energy transition, oil and gas markets amid new technologies, and Turkiye's key role in ensuring security of natural gas supply, according to the Anadolu Agency, which is hosting the event.

Energy Minister Vladimir Malinov will represent Bulgaria at the forum.

Minister Malinov will participate in a panel discussion to discuss the challenges and opportunities for a sustainable energy future. Ministers from Azerbaijan, Hungary, Moldova, Libya, Serbia and others are also expected to participate in the panel.

A special session is also included on the agenda, with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar, Communications Director Fahrettin Altun and Anadolu Agency President and CEO Serdar Karagoz scheduled to speak.

"New dynamics of gas security: regional perspectives", "Prospects for new technologies and fuels in a smart energy transition", "Financing the energy transition: expectations and priorities" are the topics of the sessions included in the Forum's agenda. The closing session will be led by the Anadolu Agency.
