site.btaTurkiye's Ruling AKP Boosts Ties with Vladimir Putin's United Russia
A delegation of Turkiye's ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) is leaving for Moscow for meetings with representatives of Russian President Vladimir Putin's United Russia party, which will take place November 6-9.
According to Turkish broadcaster TRT Haber, the Turkish delegation is led by Efkan Ala, AKP deputy chairman and former interior minister. The delegation includes Ibrahim Halil Korkmaz, AKP deputy chairman for foreign policy, and Omer Serdar, AKP deputy chairman for political and legal affairs.
The Turkish representatives will hold talks with Vladimir Yakushev Acting Secretary of United Russia General Council, and his deputy Vladimir Vasilyev.
An agreement will be signed on expanding and deepening cooperation between the two parties for the period 2025-2027.
In 2009, a Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the two parties.
On the Russian side, the agreement will be signed by Andrey Klimov, a member of the General Council of the United Party, and on the Turkish side by Efkan Ala.
The Turkish delegation is expected to be received by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Alexander Grushko.
