Bulgarian Firefighters Depart for Greece
Bulgarian firefighters will provide assistance to their Greek counterparts in tackling the large forest fires, the Bulgarian Interior Ministry said Wednesday.
A new team of 36 Bulgarian firefighters will leave for Greece, the Interior Ministry said on Thursday, to replace the first team of the Bulgarian module for fighting forest fires in Alexandroupolis. The new team will depart on Friday noon from the fire service building in Kardzhali.
The team will depart after a short briefing, which will be attended by Chief Commissioner Alexander Dzhartov, Director of the General Directorate Fire Safety and Civil Protection.
Later Friday, Dzhartov will welcome the first team, who have been fighting forest fires in the Alexandroupolis area.
