Traffic was intense at some of the border crossings with Serbia, Romania and Turkiye on Friday morning, the Border Police General Directorate said on its website.

On the border with Serbia, traffic is heavy at the Kalotina checkpoint at the exit for cars. To avoid the heavy traffic, the Border Police advise travellers to use the other checkpoints on the Bulgarian-Serbian border.

On the border with Romania, traffic is heavy at the Durankulak and Kardam checkpoints for outbound trucks. Given the smaller number of routes to cross, this will lead to some increase in waiting time to exit Bulgaria and enter Romania.

On the border with Turkiye, traffic is heavy at Kapitan Andreevo’s entrance for cars. 

Traffic on the borders with Greece and North Macedonia is normal at all border crossing checkpoints.
