Bulgaria will be the Honoured Country at the 87th Thessaloniki International Fair, which will be held between September 9 and 17, the Bulgarian Consulate General in the Greek city wrote on its Facebook page.

Greek and Bulgarian government officials will join the event, which will bring together business organizations and companies from about 20 countries, including South Korea and the United Arab Emirates.

The sectors of information and communication technology and digitization, recycling, organic farming, food, perfumery and cosmetics, education, and tourism will be represented at the fair. High technologies in transport, construction, medicine, auto making, and energy will be featured as well, the Consulate General said.

The Thessaloniki International Fair is the largest annual exhibition forming an integral part of Greece's economic and cultural development. The Bulgarian participation is organized by the Ministry of Economy and Industry.
