Traffic at the Bulgarian border crossings with Romania, Greece, Serbia and Turkiye was intense by 6 am on Wednesday morning, the Border Police said on its website.

At the border with Romania there is intense traffic for outbound trucks at the border crossings at Vidin and Kardam. The two farthest lanes at Vidin border crossings are fitted with a new roof construction and traffic is redirected. Trucks over 7,5 t cannot go through the Romanian Vama Veche border crossing  from Friday through Sunday until August 31.

At the border with Greece there is busy traffic at the Kulata border crossing in both directions. At the Makaza border crossing there is busy traffic of vehicles entering Greece.

The border police advises motorist entering Greece to use the remaining border crossings at Ilinden, Zlatograd, Ivailovgrad and Kapitan Petko Voivoda.

At the border with Serbia there is busy traffic for trucks entering Serbia at Kalotina. Repair works are underway at Kalotina and crossing times may be longer. 

At the border with Turkiye there is busy traffic for cars at Kapitan Andreevo.

At the border with North Macedonia traffic at all border crossings is normal.
