March 25 (BTA) - Bulgarian Prime Minister Boyko Borissov conferred here with the General Prosecutor of Turkey's Supreme Court of Appeal Mehmet Akarca, who is visiting Sofia at the invitation of Bulgarian Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov, the Government Information Service said on Monday.

Borissov and Akarca commended the cooperation established between Bulgaria and Turkey in the field of security, migration and criminal matters. Terrorist threats, combating organized crime and international cooperation in criminal matters were on the agenda, the press release specified.

"Turkey is our nextdoor neighbour and an important partner in the field of migration and counter-terrorism", the Prime Minister said. He stressed that the results of the agreement concluded with Turkey are visible even now and the Bulgarian-Turkish border is under zero migration pressure. "The agreement between the EU and Turkey is important for all countries in Europe," Borissov emphasized, adding that peace and dialogue are the best tool of diplomacy.

Akarca's delegation includes public prosecutors Ilknur Altintas and Salih Cimen and Turkey's Ambassador in Sofia Hasan Ulusoy. Prosecutor General Sotir Tsatsarov also attended the meeting at
