Seven Diplomatic Missions Join
Ambassadors' League
Football Tournament


Sofia, May 12 (BTA) - The Boyana National Football Base hosted
the traditional Ambassadors' League charity football tournament
for diplomats of the UN Association of Bulgaria.

Representatives of seven diplomatic missions participated in the
 initiative, held as part of an agreement signed last year
between the Bulgarian Football Union and the UN Association of
Bulgaria, which joins the two organizations' efforts to promote
sports as a means of diplomacy for achieving peace and
understanding between nations.

The mission of this year's edition of the tournament is to fund
a series of trainings on human rights for children and young
people from Bulgaria. International organizations and NGOs took
part in the tournament, which was won by the International
Relations Research Student Association. Turkey's and North
Macedonia's teams won second and third place. IG/MY
