Deputy Innovation and Growth Minister Krasimir Yakimov opened the Bulgarian section of the Bett UK show in London, the biggest international fair for innovation in education, Yakimov's ministry reported in a press release on Wednesday. The section was organized by the Bulgarian Small and Medium Enterprises Promotion Agency (BSMEPA) and the Education and Science Ministry.

The opening was also attended by Deputy Education and Science Minister Natalia Miteva, the Bulgarian Ambassador to the UK Tihomir Stoichev, the Head of the Bulgarian Embassy's Economic and Commercial Department Krassimir Kiriakov, BSMEPA Executive Director Boiko Takov, academics, education technology professionals, representatives of the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology (INSAIT) in Sofia, senior executives of Sofia Tech Park and students and teachers from Bulgarian schools.

Yakimov said that Bulgaria's participation in Bett UK 2025 provides many opportunities to share ideas and start academic and business partnerships. He described the Bulgarian section as a platform for presentations and meetings. "Be active and showcase your products and services," he said, addressing the exhibitors.

Yakimov noted that the Innovation and Growth Ministry is working with the Education and Science Ministry to develop education technologies and technology transfer.

"BSMEPA prioritizes the support for Bulgarian technology companies in the field of education as it believes that education is at the basis of all other sectors and is the path for developing an economy of high added value," Boiko Takov said.

Bett (formerly known as the British Educational Training and Technology Show) is a global series of education shows organized by Hyve Group marketing information technology in education. It has been held annually since 1984. The flagship show is located in the UK, with satellite events in Asia and Brazil. Bett is also the global community for education technology, which hosts webinars, CPD sessions and publish articles from the leaders in education.
