Sofia University is ranked 763 and is in the top 15% of the best universities in the world in the published ranking of Study Abroad Aide, designed for students who wish to continue their studies abroad. Study Abroad Aide is based in South Korea and focuses on educational institutions that offer both affordable and quality education, the University's press office said Friday.

The 2024 data has been collected and analyzed for 8,056 universities from 69 countries, and for 2025 for 8,556 universities from 70 countries. This comprehensive ranking is designed to help students around the world make informed decisions about their higher education aspirations. The methodology for ranking universities is based on two indicators: academic quality and access to education. A detailed analysis of all bachelor's, master's and doctoral programmes, as well as how to apply, is made. 75% of the overall university score is based on academic reputation, and 25% is determined by access to education - tuition fees and accommodation availability.
