The Bulgarian film Wingless will be screened in Salzburg, Austria on February 23, Katya Kostova, director of "Art Theatre Berlin" said Friday. The film will be screened at the Cineplexx Salzburg Airport. The film will be with English subtitles and is not recommended for children under 12. 

Wingless stars Naum Shopov, Leart Dokle, Ivan Ivanov, Staffani Obadiarou, Paraskeva Dzhukelova and Bashar Rahal. Based on a true story, it is directed and written by Niki Ilev, produced by Bashar Rahal and its executive producer is Ralitsa Ognyanova. The film follows the inspiring story of Mikhail Hristov (Paralympic World Long Jump Champion) from the moment he lost both his arms in an electrocution accident as a teenager and the decision he made to pursue sport professionally.

The hero goes through the catharsis of starting a new life with no hands. The film follows Mikhail's personal struggle on both a psychological and physical level, how he adapts to the situation and how he searches for his calling, starting with the decision to pursue sports professionally. He goes through a number of difficulties, both on the sports field and in his personal relationships with his parents, his coach, and the girl he falls in love with. Most of all - he cannot accept what has happened to him. But he eventually becomes a long jump champion, the inventor of a new kind of prosthesis, and a motivational speaker.
