Bulgaria will continue its staunch and consistent support for Ukraine and the country's right to shape its own security policy and future without foreign interference, caretaker Foreign Minister Ivan Kondov has said at a meeting with his Ukrainian counterpart Andrii Sybiha. The pair conferred at the sidelines of an official meeting of the foreign ministers of NATO allies in Brussels, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said.

During their talks, the sides discussed continuing support for Ukraine in light of Russia's ongoing military aggression and potential steps toward Ukraine's NATO membership. Various issues on the bilateral agenda were also discussed, Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry added.

Earlier in the day, Minister Kondov conferred with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.
