The eighth edition of the Gabrovo Innovation Camp opened on Monday and will take place until November 27 in Gabrovo.

“In our town, we believe that sustainability is not only possible, but inevitable. That is why we are actively working on the Climate Neutral Gabrovo 2030 programme, because we know that responsibility for the future starts today", said Gabrovo Mayor Tanya Hristova during the opening of the event.

She pointed out that the municipality's strategic priorities include climate neutrality, development of the circular economy, support for digital skills and youth engagement. "We believe that culture not only enriches our lives, but also stimulates innovation, promotes social cohesion and strengthens the regions," she added.

The participants of the Gabrovo Innovation Camp will focus on creating an innovation valley in Gabrovo Region based on the principles of the circular economy, introducing Artificial Intelligence for youth empowerment and transformation of traditional industries, developing an engaging strategy for climate neutrality, as well as cultural and youth initiatives, which will turn the town into an even more attractive place for life and creativity.

The Gabrovo Innovation Camp is organized in partnership with the European Committee of the Regions, the Gabrovo Regional Information Centre, the Gabrovo Youth Centre, the Gabrovo Technical University, and the Ambitious Gabrovo Regional Innovation Centre.
