The Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) coalition has sent to the other parliamentary forces a Declaration on Freeing the Institutions and the Electoral Process from Corruption Influences, CC-DB said on its website Saturday. The support for this document is a necessary initial condition for the start of political consultations related to the formation of the 51st National Assembly, the press release reads. CC-DB expect a reply and reaction from the declaration's recipients.

The document aims for the 51st National Assembly to limit the abuse of power and illegal methods of influence that MRF-New Beginning leader Delyan Peevski exerts. The declaration has three points: building a cordon sanitaire (sanitary cordon) around Peevski and his parliamentary group; a programme on Parliament's work with measures that stop the collapse of institutions in Bulgaria, limit the illegitimate influence on them and guarantee their independence; establishment of an ad hoc committee to investigate the facts and circumstances related to the early general elections and elaboration of draft legal and institutional guarantees ensuring fair and free elections.
