Bulgarian customs officers at the Kapitan Andreevo border checkpoint have seized 19,208 kilograms of fake washing powder from a truck entering Bulgaria from Turkiye, the Customs Office in the southern town of Svilengrad said. The foreign-registered truck was bound from Turkiye for Albania. The driver presented papers stating the freight as washing powder, which was carrying the logo of a well-known brand.

In line with the EU Regulation concerning customs enforcement of intellectual property rights, the trade mark proprietor was contacted and he confirmed that the washing powder was counterfeit.
