site.btaPresident Rumen Radev Attends Reception at Elysee Palace before Olympic Games Opening

President Rumen Radev and his wife Desislava Radeva were welcomed at the Elysee Palace by French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron, the head of State's press secretariat said Friday evening. The Macrons are hosting an official reception ahead of the opening ceremony of the XXXII Summer Olympic Games in Paris.

During the event, Radev held informal talks with President of Slovakia Peter Pellegrini, the Emir of Qatar, Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, King Felipe VI of Spain, Prince Albert II of Monaco, and other heads of state and government. 

Earlier on Friday, Rumen Radev said that he believes Bulgarian athletes will bring pride to the country with their performance at the Paris Olympics.

He stressed that he deeply believes that the ideals and principles on which the Olympic movement is built will continue to unite and inspire people for a more peaceful, fairer world.
