Fire-fighting continues, and work is under strong mobilization, Director of the General Directorate for Fire Safety and Population Protection Chief Commissioner Alexander Dzhartov reported to Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev.

Dzhartov pointed out that the efforts of the firefighters at this stage are concentrated mainly in the regions of Haskovo, Stara Zagora, Kyustendil and Plovdiv.  The most difficult situation is near the village of Mustrak, Svilengrad region, where strong winds prevented the localization of the fire. For this purpose, high-capacity equipment has been provided. Two Air Force helicopters are also involved in the extinguishing.
